2014 Kia Optima Sedan
Benefits of Driving a 2014 Kia Optima Sedan
Compared to other mid-size sedans, the Kia Optima stands out for several reasons. Showcasing Kia's more Euro-influenced design direction, the Optima has styling that's more exciting than that of other mid-size sedans. That design means it's quite roomy on the inside. The Optima is also one of the most fuel-efficient mid-size sedans, and it offers quite sporty performance considering its mileage numbers. The turbocharged engine in the SX-Turbo and Limited trims provides the power and acceleration of a V6 but the gas mileage of a four. The Optima is also a very strong value, with a few more features at each trim level than what's found in most comparable models. An available hybrid model adds the appeal of fuel economy and eco-credibility. Kia bolsters the Optima's value by continuing to offer a 10-year warranty on powertrain components.
What's new for 2014?
The Optima is refreshed for 2014 with changes to the front and rear fascias. The new styling mildly updates the look of the car without reinventing its look. The interior has received attention as well, with new seats and the availability of several new interior amenities. Kia has also reshuffled their model lineup, with 2014 seeing the return of the SX-Turbo trim and the introduction of a top of the line Limited trim.

The 2014 Kia Optima now comes five different trims, LX, EX, SX, SX-Turbo and Limited. LX and EX models come with a 200-horsepower, 2.4L direct-injection 4-cylinder engine and 6-speed automatic transmission. The Optima SX-Turbo and the Limited get a more powerful 2.0L turbocharged engine, which makes 274 hp. Like the 2.4L, it is mated to a 6-speed automatic.
