The 2-door MINI Paceman is a pretty unique vehicle in its category. The diminuitive hatch's virtues are versatility, fuel economy, handling and trademark MINI styling. With a trio of available engines, the Paceman can be equipped as anything from a compact and economical runabout to a 'hot hatch.' No matter which engine buyers choose, they will be treated to the classic MINI driving experience, complete with a high quality interior and surprisingly good handling. Prices start at a little over $23,000.
The 2014 MINI Paceman was introduced in 2013, so it doesn't change much for this year.
The MINI Paceman is a unique car, but it still shares its engines with the rest of the MINI lineup. The base engine powering Cooper models is a 1.6L 4-cylinder engine making 121 horsepower. The Paceman Cooper S is powered by a turbocharged version of the same engine, producing 181 horsepower. The top of the line Paceman John Cooper Works again features the same engine with even more tuning, to produce a stout 208 horsepower. All engines are mated to 6-speed manual transmissions with 6-speed automatics being optional.
