The 2011 Buick Regal is an all new car for GM�s Buick division. Based on the European Opel Insignia 4-door, five passenger sedan and dubbed "the Enthusiast�s Buick", the Regal is powered by a 182 hp direct-injection 2.4-liter Ecotec four-cylinder. A 220 hp, 2.0-liter turbo will be available in late 2010. A first for Buick in many years is a choice of 6-speed manual or 6-speed automatic transmission. Even with all this performance, fuel economy is estimated to be 18mpg city and 29mpg highway with the automatic. This new Buick Regal promises a high quality, sophisticated interior; numerous technology options, with a sporty ride and handling.

The Regal is sized slightly smaller than mainstream mid-size sedans like the Toyota Camry, Honda Accord or Nissan Altima but a little larger than mid-size performance/luxury sedans like the Acura TSX or Volvo S60.
