Introduced in 2008, the 2011 Audi A5 is a four passenger, two-door full-size luxury sport coupe. A soft-top convertible option became available in 2010 as well as a new base 2.0-liter 211-hp Turbo I4 with a 6-speed manual or 6-speed automatic transmission. Optional is a 3.2-liter 265-hp V6 with automatic only. With the I4, the A5 achieves up to 22/30 mpg city/hwy. All trims have standard all-wheel drive which gives the coupe dynamic handling and relentless traction even in inclement weather. A high quality ergonomic interior is complemented with leather sport bucket seats and a center mounted NAV/Infotainment display. Upgraded audio and numerous safety and technology options enhance the A5's appeal. Strong competitors include Infiniti G37 Coupe and Cadillac CTS Coupe.

Model Review

The A5 and S5 are closely related, but the performance-focused S5 model offers improved handling, a sportier look and a powerful V8. The A5 is offered with only a 2.0-liter turbocharged 4-cylinder, which produces 211 horsepower. S5 coupes get a 354-horsepower, 4.2-liter V8, while S5 Cabriolets have a 333-horsepower, 3.0-liter V6.
