2011 Hyundai Azera Sedan
Summary
Provided by NADAguides.com
For 2011, the Hyundai Azera receives extensive upgrades starting with LED accent lights and taillights as well as refreshed grille. Collected in two trim levels, the GLS and Limited, 2011 Hyundai Azera sedans both include cruise control, remote keyless entry, HomeLink transceiver and electronic stability control as standard features. Another change includes a considerable power boost to the sedan's V-6 engine selection. Through full usage of dual continuously variable valve timing and a new intake, the 2011 Azera GLS' 3.3 liter V-6 engine pumps out 260 horsepower with the Limited trim 3.8 liter V-6 now produces 283 horsepower. While horsepower rose, the engines demonstrate better fuel economy achieving 24 miles per gallon with the 3.3 liter and 23 miles when the 2011 Hyundai Azera Limited is equipped the 3.8 liter V-6. Compared to 2010, fuel mileage is roughly improved by 2 miles through both 2011 Azera engines. Also new for 2011, GLS and Limited trimmed Azera sedans are now fitted with a 6-speed automatic transmission.
Benefits of Driving a 2011 Hyundai Azera Sedan
As a full-sized luxury sedan, the 2011 Hyundai Azera faces stiff competition from the Toyota Avalon and Nissan Maxima. The Azera outshines them in terms of interior volume, and even with added power, refinement, and fuel efficiency from both available V6s, it is still priced at less than $25,000.
What's new for 2011?
For 2011, Hyundai's full-size sedan receives added power from its choice of two V6 engines. The 3.3L found in the GLS has been boosted from 234 hp to 260 hp. The 3.8L unit in the Limited is up 20 hp to 283 hp. Both engines benefit from Dual Continuously Variable Valve Timing (DCVVT), and the result is not just added power, but added fuel efficiency as well. Hyundai has also introduced a new 6-speed automatic transmission to pair up with the powerplants.
