Now available in a Carbon Black Volante trim level, the 2012 Aston Martin DBS is a luxury grand tourer super car available in coupe and soft-top convertible body styles. Both body styles are powered by a 5.9 liter V12 engine that produces 510 hp and 420 lb-ft of torque, for a 0-60 time of 4.3 seconds and top speed of 191 mph. Rear-wheel drive can be paired with a standard 6-speed manual transmission or optional 6-speed automatic. Fuel mileage is an EPA estimated 11 mpg city and 17 mpg highway. Features include 20-inch wheels, full-grain leather interior, heated seats, satellite radio, front parking sensors, rear parking sensors, boot-mounted umbrella, Dolby� audio system, six-disc CD changer, iPod� connectivity, hands-free phone capability, hard disk drive, and satellite navigation. Safety is comprised of dual-stage front airbags, tire pressure monitoring system (TPMS), traction control system (TCS), emergency brake assist (EBA), electronic brake distribution (EBD), anti-lock braking system (ABS), and dynamic stability control (DSC). DBS owners can upgrade to a Carbon Black trim that features carbon black paint and black interior trimming. The DBS is backed by a 3-year/unlimited mile warranty.

If the Aston Martin DB9 or V8 Vantage isn't quite rare enough, the Aston DBS should almost provide the requisite exclusivity. What's new for 2012?

The Aston Martin DBS gets a few minor changes for 2012. The navigation system is now a Garmin unit, and the windshield wipers are now beam-blade type. Brake calipers are now available in red, yellow, grey or the default black.
