The 2007 X-type, the smallest and most affordable Jaguar model, has standard all-wheel drive and sporty handling, with a nice ride and luxurious interior, making it an often-overlooked alternative to the Audi A4/A6. The Sportwagon stands out as distinctively different when compared to German-brand competitors.
Dynamic stability control becomes standard across the Jaguar X-Type model lineup for 2007, and sedans now get increased equipment, with a moonroof and split folding rear seats now standard. Sportwagons also have increased standard equipment, including standard reverse park control, premium sound, rain-sensing wipers, and new 17-inch Bermuda alloy wheels.
The compact Jaguar X-Type luxury sedan is available in two very well-equipped 2007 models: the sedan and the Sportwagon. Both models come with a 227-horsepower 3.0L V6 engine, paired with a five-speed automatic transmission. The engine is tuned for strong mid-range torque, enabling it to dash to 60 mph in only 7.1 seconds while being quite economical.
