Built on a rugged, body-on-frame chassis, the 2007 Infiniti QX56 is capable of working hard while cosseting it's passengers with luxurious trappings. It's nearly 9,000 pound tow rating allows you to pull nearly anything you can hitch behind it, facilitated by an auto-leveling rear suspension that maintains uniform ride height while doing so; also, its low-range transfer case (4WD model) permits off-road excursions. With a competitive position in the marketplace and a comprehensive list of standards already available, the Infiniti QX56 transitions to the 2007 model year with relatively minor changes. Horsepower and torque for the standard 5.6L V8 get modest boosts, fortifying its status as one of the more powerful players in its class while still managing respectable fuel economy. In order to keep the carryover styling fresh, the only other change is the addition of Pacific Sapphire to the color palate, complementing the QX's unique exterior design.

Mechanically, the 2007 Infiniti QX56 is highlighted by its powerful, yet sophisticated powertrain, consisting of a 5.6L DOHC aluminum block V8 engine and five-speed automatic transmission with tow/haul modes. When paired with the available all-mode 4WD system, the QX56 exudes the confidence of go-anywhere capability. Keeping you on-road is the double wishbone front and rear independent suspension with stabilizer bars at both ends, and the vehicle dynamic control with brake activated limited-slip traction control.

The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) performs independent crash testing of new vehicles and then assigns them a score based on their performance.
