Ford's full-size Econoline vans have long been the top selling cargo-van; supplying the trades with truck-like towing and hauling ability and van adaptability with its workhorse engines and spacious, fully customizable interior.
For 2009 the Ford Econoline vamps up its technological capability with a completely re-designed instrument panel with optional integrated navigation and Sirius Travel Link. Also available for 2009 is Ford Work Solutions, which is a computer system that allows users to manage vehicle fleets, keep track of tools and stay connected from the front seat of their van. The 2009 Econoline also speaks to the ever-increasing demand for environmental friendliness by adding E85 flex fuel capability.
Ford's E-Series full-size van models, otherwise referred to by the name Econoline, can be equipped in a wide range of configurations for both cargo and passenger duty. Passenger versions come in two primary models--the standard-duty E-150, and the Super Duty E-350, which offers increased towing and hauling ability. The E-150 comes in a single length, while the E-350 comes in standard or extended versions. The extended version is about 20 inches longer.
