With a price tag that starts around $350,000 and heads north from there, 'value' isn't a term tossed about at the Lamborghini dealership. The 211 mph top speed will likely come up, though, as will the 6.5L V12 engine and the all-wheel drive system. The Murcielago stands as one of the most potent and dramatic super cars available today.
The Murcielago roadster and coupe have seen few changes since the mid-cycle facelift they received in 2006. The only change for the standard-issue models is a price increase. But there are new Versace-branded limited editions of both the coupe and roadster.
The Lamborghini Murcielago LP640 carries its specs right in its name. The LP stands for longitudinale posteriore, the position of the engine just behind the cockpit. The 640 represents the horses on tap in its 6.5L V12, which is mated to a standard six-speed manual or optional sequential clutchless manual transmission.
