The extended length member of the full-sized sport utility family for Cadillac, the 2011 Escalade ESV is 222.9 inches long with a 130-inch wheelbase holding onto the ground. Available in four trim levels (Base, Luxury, Premium and Platinum Edition), the Cadillac Escalade ESV Base trim model comes equipped standard with a power tailgate, electronic stability control, rearview backup camera and a trailer towing package. For the 2011 Cadillac Escalade ESV's interior, which can seat up to 8 passengers, offers electronic enhancements such as a new generation OnStar and a standard audio system fitted with XM NavTraffic navigation system. Optional interior conveniences on the 2011 Escalade ESV includes a rear-seat DVD-based entertainment system and a power sunroof. Powered through either rear-wheel or all-wheel drive, every 2011 Cadillac Escalade ESV is powered by a 403 horsepower, 6.2 liter V-8 engine joined with a 6-speed automatic transmission. Fuel economy with the rear-wheel driver 2011 Cadillac Escalade ESV delivers fuel economy of 14 miles city and 18 miles highway for every gallon of gasoline. The all-wheel drive model loses only a single city miles per gallon.
The Cadillac Escalade has a lot in common with GM's other full-size SUVs-- the Chevrolet Tahoe/Suburban and GMC Yukon/XL, underneath--but you wouldn't know it inside. The Escalade's cabin is one of the most impressive, opulent interiors offered in an SUV, and ride quality and overall interior quality are top-notch. All the more impressive is the way the Escalade performs and handles considering its size and weight. The Hybrid version, although more expensive, doesn't give up any of the standard Escalade's luxury, handling, or ride quality, but does manage to get up to 50% better fuel economy.
The Escalade enters 2011 with no significant changes.
The Escalade includes three different models--the standard Escalade and extended-length Escalade ESV, which are luxurious sport-utility vehicles; and the Escalade EXT, which includes most of the attributes of the Escalade SUV but offers a pickup bed.
