Model Review

The Lucerne now comes in four different models: base CX, mid-level CXL and EXL, and top-of-the-range Super. While most of the lineup is powered by a 227-horsepower, 3.9-liter V6, the Super gets a 292-horsepower, 4.6-liter Northstar V8 engine. Both engines in the front-wheel-drive Lucerne come with a 4-speed automatic transmission.

The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) performs independent crash testing of new vehicles and then assigns them a score based on their performance. The overall crash test rating is based on how a vehicle performs in the following tests: Driver Crash Grade: Measures the chance of a serious injury to a crash test dummy that is placed in a driver's seat and driven into a fixed barrier at 35 MPH.
