Debuting in 2004, the Pininfarina-designed Ferrari 612 Scaglietti is an uncompromised 2+2 supercar. Supplying rear-wheel power from a 5.7 liter V-12 engine, the 2010 Ferrari 612 Scaglietti 532 horsepower is fed through either a 6-speed manual or a 6-speed Formula 1-inspired gearbox with steering wheel-mounted paddle shifters. Providing 4-second acceleration from 0 to 60 miles per hour, 2010 Ferrari 612 Scaglietti driving characteristics is controlled through Sport, Normal and Comfort settings. Featuring more interior lavishness compared to a two-seat sports car, the 2+2 passenger cabin of the 2010 Ferrari 612 Scaglietti features a stereo system with MP3 playback, satellite navigation, Bluetooth connectivity and a 30 gigabyte on-board hard drive. Optional capabilities of the 2010 612 Scagietti entertainment system includes rear-view camera and a TV tuner. One special feature presented on the 2010 Ferrari 612 Scaglietti is electrochromic glass roof that allows operators to adjust so only the desired amount of light can beam into the interior.
The largest Ferrari for 2010 doesn't have the largest price, but it is substantial at $313,000 to start. What that buys, though, is exclusivity, a daily-driver Ferrari that fits four adults, top-of-the-line performance and a truly luxurious interior.
The Ferrari 612 Scaglietti carries over unchanged into the 2010 model year.
Like all Ferraris, the engine is the star in the 612 Scaglietti. The 6.0L V12 has 48 valves and can churn out 540 hp and 434 lb-ft of torque through its 6-speed automated manual transmission with paddle shifters. The updated F1 'SuperFast' transmission, which is also found in the 599 GTB, is capable of shifting in a blistering 100 milliseconds.
