Now available with a Luxe trim level, the 2012 Aston Martin Rapide is a five-door, high-performance, luxury super car sedan powered by a 5.9-liter V12 engine that produces 470 hp and 443 lb-ft of torque, for a 0-60 time under 5.2 seconds and a top speed of 184 mph. The Rapide features rear-wheel drive and a 6-speed automatic transmission. Fuel mileage is an EPA estimated 13 mpg city and 19 mpg highway, for a combined 15 mpg. Front/rear independent double wishbone suspension grants the Rapide a precise and smooth ride. Features include 20-inch wheels, full-grain leather interior, heated seats, satellite radio, front parking sensors, rear parking sensors, boot-mounted umbrella, Dolby� audio system, six-CD changer, iPod� connectivity, hands-free phone capability, hard disk drive, and satellite navigation. Safety is comprised of side airbags, dual-stage front airbags, tire pressure monitoring system (TPMS), traction control system (TCS), emergency brake assist (EBA), electronic brake distribution (EBD), anti-lock braking system (ABS), and dynamic stability control (DSC). The Rapide is backed by a 3-year/unlimited mile warranty.

Model Review

While design and luxury are important parts of every Aston Martin, it really starts with the engine. The Rapide has a front-mounted 6.0L V12 capable of 477 hp and 443 pound-feet of torque, mated to a Touchtronic 6-speed shift-by-wire automatic with paddle shifters behind the steering wheel. It's capable of a top speed of 188 mph and a 0-60 mph time of 5.0 seconds.
