Now available in a GTS (420 hp) and Diesel (240 hp) trim, the 2013 Porsche Cayenne is a mid-size luxury SUV available in Hybrid and Turbo trim levels. The base Cayenne is powered by a 3.6-liter V6 engine that produces 300 hp and 295 lb-ft of torque. Upgrading to the Cayenne S grants the driver a 4.8-liter V8 engine that produces 400 hp and 369 lb-ft of torque. The Cayenne Turbo utilizes the same engine but adds twin turbochargers to boost numbers up to 500 hp and 516 lb-ft of torque. The Cayenne, Cayenne S, and Cayenne Turbo all achieve fuel mileage within an EPA estimated range of 15 mpg city to 22 mpg highway. The Cayenne Hybrid comes equipped with a 3.0-liter V6 hybrid engine that produces 380 hp and enables an EPA estimated 20 mpg city and 24 mpg highway. All Cayenne models come equipped with AWD and have an 8-speed automatic transmission, except for the base Cayenne that can be equipped with a 6-speed manual. Features include high-end surround sound, Porsche Communication Management, lane change assist, rear-view camera, and rear seat entertainment. Safety is comprised of advanced braking, stability management (PSM), active suspension management (PASM), dynamic chassis control (PDCC) and anti-theft protection. Rated at 29 mpg on the highway, the Cayenne Diesel is theoretically capable of traveling 740 miles on a single tank.
