About Tesla Cars

Tesla was founded in 2003, marketed as both a technology company and car manufacturer. The first car that Tesla introduced was the Tesla Roadster, an electric car that took inspiration from the Lotus Elise but was later discontinued in 2012. Today Tesla offers several fully electric models with spectacular range and cutting edge technology. Both the Tesla Model 3 and Tesla Model S are plug-in electric sedans, The Model 3 is a four-door fastback and the Model S is a five-door liftback. Since 2017, the Model 3 has become one of the best selling electric cars in the United States. Tesla also offers two plug-in electric SUV models which are the Tesla Model X and Tesla Model Y that can both hold up to seven passengers. The Model X is a crossover SUV with its signature "falcon-wing" design on its rear doors. The Model Y is a compact crossover SUV that has plenty of cargo space from its folding back seats. The company makes it easy for Tesla owners to recharge with over 45,000 superchargers available across the world.

Approximate Mile Range for each Tesla Model:

Tesla Model Y ranges from 270 miles to 330 miles on a full charge.
Tesla Model X ranges from 295 miles to 350 miles on a full charge.
Tesla Model S ranges from 390 miles to 410 miles on a full charge.
Tesla Model 3 ranges from 260 miles to 330 miles on a full charge.

It's crucial to consider the expense of replacing the battery, as the typical lifespan of a Tesla battery is six years, and the replacement cost can be quite high.

Why are used Tesla cars so expensive? Customers may spend several months on the waitlist when applying for a new Tesla due to a limited supply. As a result, there is a high demand for used Teslas, as buying used is a way to bypass the wait. Due to high demand, the price of a used Tesla has become more expensive.

How long will a Tesla battery last? An electric car battery typically lasts 15 to 20 years. Replacement costs range from $4,000 to $20,000, depending on the model and installation expenses. Replacing a Tesla Model 3 battery is currently priced at about $13,500.

Model Y FAQ:

How long does it take to charge a 2021 Tesla Model Y? Charging times for the Long Range and Performance are about the same. The variable is the type of charger used. Plug your Model Y into a standard household 120-volt outlet, and you’re looking at charging time in days, not hours. A better choice is a 240-volt dedicated outlet hooked to a Level 2 home charging station. Charging with this setup takes between 8 and 10 hours, depending on how low the battery is when plugged in. The fastest way to charge a Model Y is via a Tesla Supercharger, which supplies about 200 miles of range in just 15 minutes, or a full charge in about 25 to 30 minutes. Read more...
