The newly refreshed Highlander enters its third generation and continues with the success it has enjoyed since 2008.
The 2014 model will continue to feature the same raw materials that led to its popularity: tasteful styling, three-row seating, and a host of features. The new exterior sheet metal is reflective of Toyota’s compact sport-ute, the RAV4 and the Highlander now takes on a more chiseled, purposeful appearance. A Hybrid version will be offered as well, it couples a V6 to high-torque electric motor.
Inside, the 2014 Highlander’s previously plain interior will get some spiffing up as did the latest updated RAV4. Materials are higher quality and there’s a standard 6.1-inch touchscreen placed on a more contoured dashboard and more soft-touch materials.
Expect the 2014 Highlander to win over even more crossover buyers with its combination of Toyota quality, a fresh new look, and some attractive interior upgrades.
