Acura has officially pulled the cover off its updated RDX crossover, a luxury SUV that slots below the brand's larger MDX in Acura's growing lineup. The 2016 Acura RDX features new styling and new features, along with other updates.

Manufactured in Ohio, the RDX is already the best-selling premium compact SUV in North America; updates for the latest model year will probably only help it gain further momentum. There are new front and rear fascias, for example, which include Acura's signature LED headlights. Under the hood, there's a new 3.5-liter V6 with 279 horsepower and 252 lb-ft of torque, which is a slight increase over today's model.

Inside, the 2016 Acura RDX adds standard heated front seats and second-row air conditioning vents. If you opt for the Technology package, you'll get Acura's dual-screen information display and new safety features including a blind spot monitoring system and rear cross-traffic alert.
