What Is It?
The 2017 RAM 1500 Copper Sport is a limited edition of this highly respected full-size pickup truck. The thing that makes it limited is that for the first time it now comes in Copper Pearl paint, along with copper-closed stitching in the cabin, and only 3,000 units will be produced. The rear-drive version has massive 22-inch alloy wheels, while the all-wheel-drive variant remains fairly stylish, with 20-inch alloys. They both enjoy a 9-speaker Alpine audio system that includes a subwoofer. It comes as a crew cab truck with a 5.7-liter V8 making 395 horsepower and 410 lb-ft of torque.
RAM’s Chicago show stand is also trembling under the weight of special editions of the heavy-duty RAM 2500 and 3500 trucks known as “Night” models. As the name suggests, there’s a lot of black involved in this appearance package. Models with the package come in crew cab form, with rear-wheel drive or optional all-wheel drive, and engine choices are a 5.7-liter V8, 6.4-liter V8 or a 6.7-liter Cummins inline 6-cylinder turbodiesel. This latter unit has a massive 900 lb-ft of torque.
The 2017 RAM 1500 Copper Sport starts $46,950. The 2017 RAM 2500 Night starts at $46,840.
When Can You Get It?

Other Cars to Consider
2017 Toyota Tundra — Only available as a half-ton truck, but still excellent.
Used Ford F-150 Raptor — There are plenty of special editions of all sorts of trucks, but the desert-racing Raptor is really something special.
