If reliability is a major priority when it comes to buying your next luxury car, you might be a little reluctant to consider a used vehicle. But buying a certified pre-owned (CPO) vehicle may help ease your concern, as you'll get a nearly new car with a manufacturer-backed warranty. To help give you even more peace of mind about your luxury car purchase, we've listed six excellent used luxury cars with impressive reliability ratings that offer a certified pre-owned warranty. If you choose one of these models, your next used car will feel as reliable as a new one.

Acura TL

Recently redesigned and renamed the TLX, Acura's TL has been a reliability star since its third-generation model debuted in 2004. But J.D. Power's reliability ratings have been especially kind to the 2009-2013 TL, which earned a perfect 5-circle score in the firm's Power Circle Ratings, indicating reliability that's among the best. As if that's not enough peace of mind, you'll be happy to know that it's easy to find a TL with Acura's 7-year or 100,000-mile certified pre-owned powertrain warranty, as there are nearly 700 examples currently on Autotrader with an average price of just under $26,000.

Buick LaCrosse

The full-size Buick LaCrosse is known for its excellent reliability, taking home top honors in J.D. Power's large-car segment in the 2015 vehicle dependability study. It also earned an excellent 4-circle score in the firm's Power Circle Ratings, indicating better-than-average reliability. As if that's not good enough, consider this: Drivers who choose a certified pre-owned LaCrosse will also get a 6-year or 100,000-mile powertrain warranty, along with a 1-year or 12,000-mile bumper-to-bumper warranty that begins when original coverage ends. If this all sounds appealing, you'll have no trouble finding a certified used LaCrosse, as there are currently more than 1,000 on Autotrader with an average price of around $24,100.

Cadillac CTS

Cadillac's luxurious CTS sport sedan was among the leaders in J.D. Power's recent vehicle dependability survey, taking home honors that placed it near the top of its class in terms of reliability. The firm also gave the car a 4-circle overall reliability ranking in its Power Circle Ratings, indicating better-than-average dependability. That all sounds good -- and there's more: If you get a CTS with Cadillac's CPO warranty, you'll get an impressive 6 years or 70,000 miles of coverage from the original sale date. We especially recommend a 2008-2013 model in order to take advantage of excellent pricing: A certified pre-owned CTS of that era is available for an average MSRP of around $29,000 on Autotrader, and for even less if you remove high-performance, V8-powered CTS-V models from your search.

Infiniti G37

Officially renamed the Q50 (sedan) and Q60 (coupe) last year, Infiniti's entry-level G37 is an excellent car, no matter what you call it. Reliability is strong for both coupe and sedan variants, as J.D. Power gives it four out of five circles -- indicating better-than-average reliability -- in its Power Circle Ratings. We also happen to think that the G37 offers a tremendously reliable engine that boasts low maintenance compared to most luxury cars. If you're still unsure about buying a used luxury car, you can pick up a G37 with Infiniti's excellent 6-year or 100,000-mile certified pre-owned warranty for an average price of just $26,500 on Autotrader.

Lexus RX

The Lexus RX is routinely rated among the most reliable luxury crossovers on the market, earning strong reliability marks and occasional best-in-class designations from groups such as J.D. Power. Drivers who want even more peace of mind can also add Lexus' excellent certified pre-owned warranty, which boasts 3 years or up to 100,000 total vehicle miles of coverage. If you do that, you'll be getting one of the most reliable, well-protected luxury cars on sale -- one that's easy to find on Autotrader with a certified pre-owned warranty for an average price of around $37,000 or less if you'd rather have the gas-powered model instead of the RX 450h hybrid.

Mercedes-Benz E-Class

Although German automakers have recently been known more for high repair costs and pricey electronics than long-term dependability, Mercedes seems to have turned things around with its latest E-Class. In addition to earning a better-than-average reliability score from J.D. Power, the 2012 E-Class topped J.D. Power's long-term dependability study in the crowded midsize premium car segment. If you still want additional peace of mind, you can get it in the form of Mercedes' certified pre-owned warranty, which touts a year of bumper-to-bumper coverage. This is a good deal -- especially because certified pre-owned 2010 to 2013 models have an average price of around $38,000 on Autotrader.
