6 Most Affordable Hondas for 2020

If you’re shopping for an affordable, practical car that you know you can trust, there’s a good chance you’ve had your eye on Honda. Honda has a well-earned reputation for building cars that are just plain good at just about everything. The average Honda model is comfortable, efficient, safe, and reliable, and they’re consistently toward the top of their respective classes.

Here are the six most affordable Hondas for 2020.

2020 Honda CR-V

Honda CR-V — $25,050

The Honda CR-V is a compact crossover that checks all the boxes. It has one of the roomiest interiors in its class, it’s great on gas, and it achieves outstanding safety scores. The CR-V got a slight makeover for 2020, with a revised look and the addition of a hybrid option, which starts at $27,750 and achieves a combined fuel economy rating of 38 miles per gallon. One of our favorite updates for the 2020 CR-V is the Honda Sensing suite of driver assistance technology coming standard on every trim. Find a Honda CR-V for sale

2020 Honda Accord

Honda Accord — $24,020

The Honda Accord is one of the most trusted names in midsize sedans for good reasons. The Accord is a well-rounded family sedan with excellent engines that return respectable fuel economy, a roomy cabin and trunk, and a fun-to-drive factor that few of its rivals can match. Speaking of fun to drive, the Accord is the only non-luxury midsize sedan left in its class that still offers a manual transmission, which is a big plus for enthusiasts who need a practical car. The hybrid option doesn’t cost much more, starting at $25,470 and returning a combined fuel economy rating of 48 mpg. Find a Honda Accord for sale

2020 Honda Insight

Honda Insight — $22,930

The Honda Insight is not only one of the most affordable Hondas of 2020, but it’s also one of the most affordable hybrid cars on the market. The Insight is similar in size to the Civic sedan, and its hybrid drivetrain gives it an outstanding combined fuel economy rating of up to 52 mpg. The Insight also looks and feels like a more premium car than its price tag suggests. We’re impressed with this hybrid’s list of standard features, including the Honda Sensing safety tech suite, which is great to see at this price point. Find a Honda Insight for sale

2020 Honda HR-V

Honda HR-V — $20,820

The Honda HR-V is the brand’s smallest and most affordable SUV offering. Don’t be fooled by its subcompact dimensions — the HR-V has one of the biggest interiors in its class, and it feels like a much bigger SUV on the inside. Its spacious interior makes it a strong choice in this segment as a small family vehicle. The handling is nimble, which makes it great around town, but it’s still comfortable enough for long highway trips. The HR-V is mechanically similar to the Fit hatchback, but the big difference is that the HR-V is available with all-wheel driveFind a Honda HR-V for sale

2020 Honda Civic

Honda Civic — $20,650

The Honda Civic has always been a clear class leader in compact cars, and that reputation is no different for 2020. The Civic is the only car in its class that is still available in three different body styles: sedan, coupe and hatchback. The sedan has the lowest starting price of the three, and even the base LX trim comes very well appointed, with standard features that include a 5-in infotainment system, automatic climate control and Honda Sensing. A manual transmission is standard, and upgrading to the automatic costs an extra $800. If you’re interested in the coupe or the hatchback, their starting prices aren’t much higher than the sedan. Find a Honda Civic for sale

2020 Honda Fit

Honda Fit — $16,190

The Honda Fit is the roomiest subcompact hatchback in its class by a long shot, which makes it a small city car you can actually use to haul passengers and cargo. The Fit uses what Honda calls the “Magic Seat,” which is a configurable seating system that allows you to optimize your cargo space however you need it. Hauling tall items or long items is no problem for this hatchback. It’s also great on gas and very maneuverable. If you have some extra room in your budget, you can add Honda Sensing, a moonroof and even leather seats to the humble Fit. Find a Honda Fit for sale
