Best Used Trucks for Towing Under $15,000

If you need a used truck to tow a trailer or RV, there are a few things you need to know before you start shopping. If you know you’re towing a specific trailer all the time, make sure you know what it weighs. Second, make sure the truck you buy can tow more than what your trailer weighs, so you can tow safely. Third, keep in mind that the cab style and engine you choose can affect the truck’s towing capacity. Here are our 10 Best Trucks for Towing Under $15,000.

1. 2011 Chevrolet Avalanche

Don’t let the body style of this truck fool you. The Chevrolet Avalanche is based on the same tough platform as the Tahoe and Suburban full-size SUVs, meaning you can tow up to 8,100 pounds in a comfortable, SUV-like cabin. You can get into a 2011 model and stay within your budget, but choosing any Chevrolet Avalanche within this range of years will get you that SUV/truck mix. Find a Chevrolet Avalanche for sale

2. 2012 Chevrolet Silverado 1500

The Chevrolet Silverado 1500 half-ton truck has a model range that starts with the base Work Truck and goes all the way to LTZ.
