If you don’t want to spend big money for a new car but you’re concerned about the potential repair bills often associated with used vehicles, a certified pre-owned (CPO) model might be the right choice for you. CPO vehicles are often lightly used, boasting a discount from the new price and a long, manufacturer-backed warranty for peace of mind. Better yet, many automakers offer CPO deals and incentives, and we’ve rounded up a few of the top offers available this month on some of our favorite vehicles and certified pre-owned programs.
BMW
BMW’s certified pre-owned program is among the best in the business, as it offers warranty coverage for up to 6 years or 100,000 miles from a vehicle’s original sale date. Better yet, that warranty coverage is comprehensive, meaning vehicles are covered from bumper to bumper rather than just the powertrain. If that warranty coverage isn’t enticing enough, BMW has an even better deal available in October: Through the end of the month, qualified shoppers can receive 0.9 percent interest on all certified pre-owned 2013 and 2014 BMW models, a better deal than BMW offers on many new cars.
Honda
Honda’s certified pre-owned program offers two excellent warranties, one that covers vehicles for an additional year or 12,000 miles beyond the factory bumper-to-bumper coverage, and another that offers 7 years or 100,000 miles of powertrain coverage from the original sale date. In October, Honda’s CPO program also makes another offer: Through the end of the month, qualified shoppers can buy a certified pre-owned Honda with 1.9 percent interest for up to 36 months. That’s a great deal, especially on a used vehicle.
Infiniti
Infiniti’s certified pre-owned program offers one of the best warranties in the business, touting up to 6 years of bumper-to-bumper coverage from the original sale date, often with no mileage limit. This month, Infiniti’s CPO warranty offers another enticing reason why shoppers should consider it: a 0.99 percent interest rate for up to 36 months for qualified shoppers. That’s an impressive deal on a used vehicle, especially when you factor in Infiniti’s amazing certified pre-owned warranty coverage.
Lincoln
Like many luxury brands, Lincoln’s certified pre-owned program offers 6 years or 100,000 miles of bumper-to-bumper warranty coverage, an impressive term for shoppers worried about the potential hassles and cost of owning a used car. We think the only drawback is the program’s pricey $100 deductible for repairs, but the automaker is helping to make up for it this month, as it’s offering 2.9 percent interest for up to 66 months on all certified pre-owned models. While 2.9 percent isn’t as low as interest rates offered by some automakers, the 66-month term is impressive, especially for a used vehicle.
Mercedes-Benz C-Class
The Mercedes-Benz C-Class is an excellent compact luxury sedan aimed at shoppers who want a car that offers little more room than Mercedes’ base-level CLA can provide, along with a better deal than the larger E-Class. While a new C-Class can be pricey, certified pre-owned ones are more budget-friendly, especially this month, as Mercedes is offering 1.99 percent interest for up to 48 months on all certified pre-owned 2013-2015 C-Class models. Of course, they also include Mercedes’ certified pre-owned warranty, which touts unlimited miles of bumper-to-bumper coverage for 1 year or longer if owners opt for extra coverage.

Nissan
Although Nissan’s certified pre-owned program doesn’t extend bumper-to-bumper warranty coverage as many certified pre-owned programs do, the brand still boasts impressive CPO powertrain coverage for up to 7 years or 100,000 miles from the original sale date. In October, Nissan also offers some excellent certified pre-owned incentives for qualified shoppers. The best deal is for drivers interested in financing, as Nissan is offering 1.95 percent interest for up to 36 months or 2.95 percent for up to 72 months. For drivers looking to pay with cash, Nissan also has a good deal available of up to $400 cash back on most models and up to $750 cash back on the Leaf.
Range Rover Evoque
The Range Rover Evoque is a spry luxury crossover with a turbocharged 4-cylinder engine, maneuverable dimensions, impressive handling and a modicum of off-road capability. In October, shoppers interested in financing a certified pre-owned Evoque can find some excellent incentives, including 0.9 percent interest for 24 months and 1.9 percent for up to 60 months. Of course, shoppers who take that deal will also receive Land Rover’s excellent certified pre-owned warranty, which offers 6 years of bumper-to-bumper coverage from the original sale date, along with no deductible for repairs.

Toyota Camry
The midsize Toyota Camry sedan has been America’s most popular car for years, largely due to its affordability and impressive durability. Shoppers looking for a certified pre-owned Camry receive an even more affordable price tag, along with a manufacturer-backed warranty that touts 7 years or 100,000 miles of powertrain protection and 1 extra year or 12,000 miles of bumper-to-bumper coverage. This month, shoppers interested in a CPO Camry can also receive something else: 1.9 percent interest for up to 60 months on all certified Camry and Camry Hybrid models. That’s an alluring offer on an already affordable vehicle.
What it means to you: If you’re interested in buying a lightly used vehicle at a great price, as well as with a full manufacturer-backed warranty, our list of CPO deals is a great place to start your search.
