We're now living in the age of the collectible SUV -- a world where old-school family-haulers and grocery-getters are suddenly investment-grade collectibles. Indeed, the collectible-car scene isn't all exotics and muscle cars these days: That old, worn-out SUV your family tossed aside for a newer model in the early '90s might now be worth big bucks.

Just how many bucks? This list will help you figure it out. I've rounded up six old SUVs currently listed on Autotrader with values that might surprise you -- unless you've been following along as I have, watching cool, old SUVs becoming less and less affordable with each passing year. On that depressing note, here they are.

1985 Chevy Blazer

1985 Chevy Blazer - $23,900

I never thought I'd live to see the day when giant, unrefined, loud, inefficient 1980s Blazers were bringing $25,000. And indeed, I haven't lived to see that day. This is the most expensive '80s Blazer on Autotrader, and it isn't even quite $25,000. Yet. Well-kept examples of these old Blazers are edging up, and there are several on Autotrader for $20,000 and above. This particular 1985 example -- offered by Jensen Imports in Sioux City, Iowa -- is probably the nicest one on the site, with just 75,000 original miles, a clean interior and exterior and a $23,900 asking price.

1996 Ford Bronco

1996 Ford Bronco - $19,900

Like the Blazer I've listed above, OJ-era Broncos aren't quite worth big bucks yet. But they're getting there -- which is no surprise, since 1970s Broncos will easily bring $50,000 or more in the right condition. This is probably the nicest one on Autotrader, with only 36,000 one-owner miles and a beautifully preserved interior that still includes all factory components, right down to the original radio. Offered by Automotive Media Services in the Los Angeles suburb of Reseda, California, for $19,900, this isn't OJ's actual Bronco -- but the connection is impossible to forget. Even the listing says, "This 1996 Bronco XLT is just like OJ Simpson's Bronco."

1991 Jeep Grand Wagoneer

1991 Jeep Grand Wagoneer - $38,990

The Grand Wagoneer is one of the most popular old SUVs that's rapidly appreciating in value, and this particular example is one of the coolest Grand Wagoneers you'll find. Boasting an unusual shade of bright blue (over wood trim, of course) and just 92,000 miles, this Grand Wagoneer hails from the model's highly desirable final model year of 1991. Offered by Scottsdale Autos Online, this Grand Wagoneer boasts a beautiful interior and exterior, along with one of the most expensive Grand Wagoneer asking prices on Autotrader: nearly $39,000. But there aren't many perfect Grand Wagoneers left -- and this certainly seems to be one of the good ones.

1994 Land Rover Defender 90

1994 Land Rover Defender 90 - $69,941

Although the North American-spec Land Rover Defender 90 never really lost much value from its original asking price of around $35,000 in the mid-1990s, good examples have especially taken off in price during recent years. This particular Defender 90, a very clean 1994 model with just 52,000 miles, is offered by Land Rover Cherry Hill, near Philadelphia -- with an amazing $69,941 asking price. If you think that's high, you might want to check Defender listings: You'll probably be stunned to discover that ultra-rare 1993 Defender 110 models easily sell for over $100,000, while some 1997 Defender 90 models easily command $70,000 or more.

1995 Range Rover

1995 Range Rover - $44,995

Although this particular asking price is certainly an outlier, there's no question that the original Range Rover (dubbed the "Classic" retrospectively) is gaining in value. After all, the average asking price for a pre-1996 Range Rover on Autotrader has now crept up above $15,000. This particular example, offered by a private seller in Colorado Springs, Colorado, is a beautifully preserved model from the Range Rover Classic's final year of 1995 -- a year that's also hailed as the SUV's most desirable, thanks to a redesigned dashboard with airbags and improved ergonomics.

1982 Toyota Land Cruiser

1982 Toyota Land Cruiser - $21,000

This 1982 Land Cruiser is an excellent example of the FJ60 model, which was made through the early and mid-1980s before being replaced by a slightly updated version dubbed the FJ62. While it's priced on the high side, its value clearly displays the recent interest in vintage Land Cruisers and the increase in their prices -- as this example's $21,000 asking price doesn't seem affected by the fact that its odometer reads more than 200,000 miles. Also helping this one is its beautifully kept interior and its gorgeous, well-preserved exterior in a desirable shade of tan.
