Autotrader Find: 1985 Jeep Cherokee 4WD With 35,000 Miles

Here’s a really special car. This is a 1985 Jeep Cherokee that touts 4-wheel drive and just 35,600 original miles. It’s in absolutely immaculate condition, and it’s amazing to see it like this — and now, it can be yours.

Here are the particulars: on the outside, this Cherokee is finished in something of a light tan, while the interior is also tan — dubbed "bronze and beige plaid cloth" in the listing. The seats are, indeed, plaid, and they’ve held up amazingly well — as has the rest of the interior, which is in fantastic shape with surprisingly little wear.

Then again, it shouldn’t be that surprising considering the mileage. This Cherokee has traveled just 35,660 miles from new, making it surely one of the best remaining original Cherokee models. It’s a truly amazing survivor, and it legitimately looks not especially different from the day it was delivered new, nearly 35 years ago.

Unfortunately, this particular Cherokee has the 4-cylinder engine, rather than the more desirable 6-cylinder — but it also features 4-wheel drive, which is a big benefit. Many early Cherokee models with 4WD were driven hard and off-roaded, so it’s hard to find one this nice.

If you’re interested, this Cherokee is offered by Gesswein Motors in Milbank, South Dakota, for just $8,950, which strikes me as a huge bargain for one of the last great original Cherokee models. Find a Jeep Cherokee for sale
