This week on Autotrader Find, I've discovered a real gem: one of the last new Pontiac Fiero models still remaining. And I'm not calling it new just because it's traveled only 221 miles in the last 29 years. I mean it's new as in it's never been sold to anyone or titled in all this time.

In fact, this Fiero is still "on MSO" from Pontiac, meaning that the car's paperwork still shows it as a brand-new vehicle -- it has never even been reported as a sold car. If you bought it, it would technically count as a new vehicle purchase, even though Pontiac has been dead for nearly a decade now.

So what's the situation with this Fiero? It's a 1988 model, which means it hails from the Fiero's final year of production. It's also a "GT" model, which means it boasts an upgraded suspension, improved tires, and a 2.8-liter V6 instead of the base-level 4-cylinder. While the V6 only puts out 140 horsepower, it's important to note the Fiero weighs less than 2,800 pounds. This Fiero GT also includes a 5-speed manual transmission.

Cosmetically, it is -- not surprisingly -- a total time capsule. The interior looks factory fresh, and the exterior seems perfect. Even the engine bay is absolutely gorgeous -- no surprise, since this car has averaged a mere 7.6 miles annually for the last 29 years. The Fiero's Carfax report verifies this mileage, with the first item coming in June 2000 -- a battery replacement at 207 miles. It also received an oil change at Dave Gill Chevrolet in Columbus, Ohio, in February 2008 -- and it's been for sale ever since at Hinton Chevrolet Buick in Linden, Washington, a small town just minutes from the Canadian border.

If you're interested, it's offered for $32,999 -- big money for a Fiero. But if you're nostalgic about your old Fiero and you want another one, well, this is probably the only new one you'll ever find.
