If you want to show up with the rarest car at cars and coffee, you've found it. It's this 1994 Jaguar XJS V6 Convertible, which isn't especially rare in itself ... except this one has a manual transmission. I didn't even know this car existed, and the listing says it's just one of 58 examples in the entire United States.

For those of you who aren't up on your Jaguar history, allow me to give you a little lesson. The XJS is the car that replaced the E-TYPE, which is almost unbelievable to imagine, considering it was built as late as 1994. In fact, it was made all the way through 1996, until it finally gave way to the XK8 in 1997. This is, of course, a very late example, and I always found the later XJS models to be far more attractive than the rather dated-looking early versions.

But the coolest thing about this particular XJS is that transmission lever right in the middle. Although the listing goes a bit far by calling this "one of the rarest collectible vehicles on the planet." Yes, it is exceptionally unusual: The listing says the Getrag 5-speed manual was offered for just two model years, 1993 and 1994, and you had to know about it -- according to the listing, all 58 examples of the XJS 2+2 stick were special ordered.

As for this one, it was sent to me by a reader named Jason, who appeared as stunned to see it as I was. It's offered by The Auto Livery in Ross, Ohio, a suburb of Cincinnati, with just 62,000 miles and an asking price of $24,995. That's big money for an XJS -- but then again, when are you going to find another XJS like this one?
