If you’re looking to run in the sort of Ferrari circles that consider a 488 and a Portofino to be "pedestrian," here’s your chance. This is a 1995 Ferrari F50, and it’s currently listed for sale on Autotrader — and if you get it, you can be one of a lucky few to have one of Ferrari’s most amazing vehicles.
For those of you who don’t know the F50, a little background: Of Ferrari’s five famous supercars — the 288 GTO, the F40, the F50, the Enzo, and the LaFerrari — the F50 is the second-rarest, after the 288 GTO. Ferrari says they only made 349 units of the F50, which makes it a truly special, impressive, and ultra-rare car — and as a result, values have skyrocketed.
That’s very clear here, as Ferrari of Fort Lauderdale has this F50 listed for sale for a whopping $3,390,000, which is a truly enormous amount of money — especially since it wasn’t surprising to see an F50 listed for $500,000 to $800,000 just a decade ago. But like so many things "Ferrari," the F50’s value has shot up over the years, and now they can trade hands for truly insane money.
This particular F50 has traveled just 7,900 miles from new, and it comes with Ferrari’s Classiche certification, showing that it remains precisely as Ferrari made it nearly 25 years ago. According to the Carfax report, this F50 was sold new in the New York City area, before making its way to Atlanta for many years, followed by Florida, where it’s currently offered for sale by Ferrari of Fort Lauderdale.
