In the Lamborghini world, all of the older V12 models have shot up in value as they have aged — first the 350GT and 400GT, then the Miura, then the Countach. The Diablo hasn’t yet, but it will. And right now, this one is a bargain.
This is a 1996 Lamborghini Diablo VT, and it’s offered for only $149,000. "Only" may seem like a bit of a stretch when you consider that we’re talking about 150 grand for a 25-year-old exotic car, but when Countach models are easily hovering around $250,000 to $300,000 for a nice one, this starts to look like a bargain.
And, indeed, it is. The exterior of the Diablo is gorgeous and striking, and it deserves far more appreciation. I especially like earlier models like this, which had less of a fussy design than later ones and kept the original intended look of the Diablo. But the main benefit here is the price, which really is low by modern Lamborghini standards, and I’ve often said that early Diablo models are a bargain.
If you’re interested, this particular one is offered by The Collection of Scottsdale in the Phoenix area for $149,000, and it has covered 25,600 miles from new. It’s finished in yellow with a beige interior, and it looks to be in nice shape — and I strongly suspect it’s destined to go up in value. Find a Lamborghini Diablo for sale
