This is a 1998 Chevrolet Suburban. Unlike most other 1998 Chevrolet Suburbans, this one has done something remarkable: It has traveled 414,000 miles. Now, it can be yours for just $995, which is the asking price from Carma Automotive Group in the Atlanta suburb of Duluth, Georgia.

That's right: This is a running, driving SUV with three rows of seats for just $995.

More interesting than this Suburban's ultra-low pricing is its incredible documentation: Carma Automotive Group has uploaded 63 photos of this thing, so we can see exactly what happens to an 18-year-old vehicle that's traveled all the way to the moon and most of the way back. And what does happen? Not much more than you'd expect.

There are, for example, some dents on the front driver's-side quarter panel. There's a missing piece of trim on the rear driver's-side door. The hood is missing some paint, and the lower part of the front bumper is a little damaged. And, not surprisingly, the driver's seat is worn out and torn across the bottom, though the other seats seem like they're in fairly good shape.

What isn't known, of course, is the mechanical condition of this Suburban -- and after 414,000 miles, I suppose it's anyone's guess. Does it have another 414,000 miles in it? Or is it going to blow itself up before it reaches 415,000 miles? Such is the gamble you take when you buy a vehicle for $995.

Still, you have to admire the original owner (or owners) of this Suburban. Assuming it got 12 miles per gallon (a stretch) and the average gas price was $2 per gallon (probably too low), this Suburban drank $69,000 in fuel over the last 18 years. Or roughly 69 times its present value.
