Autotrader Find: 1999 Plymouth Prowler With 167 Miles

If you’re interested in a really nice Plymouth Prowler, well, you’ve just found it. This 1999 Plymouth Prowler has traveled just 167 miles from new, surely making it one of the best-preserved Prowler models in existence — and certainly the best-preserved Prowler currently listed for sale on Autotrader.

Let’s start with the basics: this Prowler is finished in a bright red called "Prowler Red" with a gray-black interior dubbed "Agate," and it truly looks showroom fresh. There’s no seat wear, there’s no wear anywhere on the body, and the car looks absolutely perfectly fantastic. If you were to take a time machine back to 1999 and buy a Prowler off the showroom floor, this is what you would’ve seen.

According to the Carfax report, this Prowler was sold new in the Northeast, with the first owner registering it in New York in 1999 and then moving it to New Jersey in 2000. At the time of that New Jersey registration, it had traveled just 112 miles — and then the next Carfax report came when the title changed hands to Florida in 2013, with just 129 miles. In other words, yes, this car drove 17 miles in 13 years, all of which likely came being moved around garages and pushed in and out of trailers.

It’s now offered for sale by Gulf Coast Motorworks in Bonita Springs, Florida, where it’s listed for $39,995. That’s big money for a Prowler, but then this really is the nicest Prowler you’ll find — though I suspect the owner of this car wasn’t the only one who socked it away thinking it’d be worth big money someday.
