As many car enthusiasts know, the Chevy Cobalt SS Supercharged was, despite its humble Chevy Cobalt roots, a rather enticing performance car. Unfortunately, the Cobalt SS Supercharged has been out of production for nearly a decade now -- but you can still buy a (nearly) new one right here.
Today's Autotrader Find was sent to me by a reader named Jordan, who found this Cobalt SS Supercharged while browsing Autotrader. It's located at Louis Ochs Chevrolet Buick in rural Newton, Illinois, halfway between St. Louis and Indianapolis, and it's traveled just 381 miles in its 10-year existence on this earth. That surely makes it the newest, most showroom-fresh Cobalt SS Supercharged still around.
Except that it isn't exactly showroom fresh.
Somewhere in this Cobalt SS Supercharged's 381 miles, it managed to earn some unusual aftermarket parts -- like a new hood with a fake bulge, (presumably) fake hood pins, a bug deflector, and graphics running down both sides that read "SS SUPERCHARGED" and "COBALT Racing" in huge print. There are also checkered flag details on the huge (factory) rear wing and the trunk lid.
But all that stuff can be removed pretty easily, bringing this Cobalt SS Supercharged back to original factory condition. You'll also get a bit of a discount from the original price: While a Cobalt SS Supercharged was $22,000 with shipping when new, this one is available for just $17,000. That's a lot of money for a 10-year-old Chevy Cobalt -- but then, this might just be the only 10-year-old Chevy Cobalt like it in the entire country.
