Autotrader Find: 2007 Ford Explorer Sport Trac SEMA Show Car

This is a 2007 Ford Explorer Sport Trac for $45,000. For those of you who have forgotten the Explorer Sport Trac, allow me to remind you: It was a 4-door pickup version of the Explorer SUV, manufactured during the huge 4-door pickup craze of the late 1990s and early 2000s, and subsequently dropped (and largely forgotten about). See the 2007 Ford Explorer Sport Trac models for sale near you

But, although the Sport Trac may not be well remembered, this particular example is a pretty nice one — and a pretty expensive one. Offered by a private seller in Denver, it’s a 2007 Sport Trac that was a SEMA show car from Ford. For those of you who don’t know, SEMA (Specialty Equipment Market Association) is a show themed around aftermarket parts and modifications, and most of the vehicles displayed are designed to shock you and excite you — and one-up everyone else. This Sport Trac is certainly exciting.

Indeed, this truck features air suspension, a suede headliner, 22-inch custom wheels and a custom-made body kit that goes around the entire truck. As this was a Ford show vehicle, no expense was seemingly spared, and it looks very nice — like the professional creation that it is. Now, the seller says it can be yours for $45,000.

As for the truck’s condition, it appears pristine, with the seller noting it has 2,000 miles on the odometer. The Carfax report shows it had 83,000 miles in 2012, but it’s likely a clerical error from a service at a California Ford dealership.

It’s hard to know whether there’s much extra value in SEMA show cars — but for Sport Trac fans, this is probably the ultimate example. Find a 2007 Ford Explorer Sport Trac for sale
