Here's something you don't see every day (or ever): a Porsche 911 whose interior contains one single center-mounted front seat. That's right: gone is the traditional dual-seat setup where you have a driver seat and a passenger seat. Instead, there's just one front seat mounted right in the middle of the car, flanked by two rear seats on either side, like a McLaren F1.

There are many interesting things about this car. The most interesting is that it's not some hack-job 1980s 911 that crashed into a tree ten years ago and decomposed on someone's property until a backyard mechanic decided to bolt in a center seat. Instead, this is a fairly normal-looking 2010 911 Carrera S Cabriolet whose exterior would never really hint at the madness that lurks inside.

And, indeed, it is madness: The driver's seat has been removed from its normal position on the left and reinstalled in the center of the car, which seems like a lot of work in itself -- but probably nowhere near as much work as moving the steering wheel, gauge cluster and pedals to the center of the car, too -- all of which has been done perfectly. To the right of the single seat is the center console, the center control stack and even the climate control vents, which have all been moved over professionally. It looks, dare I say, like a factory job.

But it isn't. Dubbed the "Centro 911," this car was created a few years ago by a shop called Trinity Motorsports in Lima, Ohio, apparently at the request of a customer in Florida. According to the Carfax report, that owner bought it when it was only a year old, commissioned the conversion and then owned it for about three years -- until the end of 2014. Since then, it has bounced around to a number of used car dealerships and used car auctions -- with only 95 miles added in the ensuing two years -- until landing at Atlanta Luxury Motors in the Atlanta suburb of Roswell, Georgia, where it's currently on sale for $53,491.

I have no idea what this car is really worth, but I do know that the average asking price for a 2010 911 Carrera S Cabriolet on Autotrader is around $59,000 -- which means you'd be getting this thing at a big discount compared to a regular 911 with two regular seats. For the right buyer, it could be a great deal. After all, this is just about the only way you'll ever get three people comfortably inside a 911.
