Here’s something cool: a 2013 Chevy Caprice that was formerly used as a police car. Now, to be clear, nearly all Caprice models were formerly used as police cars, as the latest version of the Caprice, on sale in the early 2010s, was only offered for government fleet sale. But this particular example is cooler than the other Caprice models on Autotrader, because this one has police lights.
Yes, this particular 2013 Chevy Caprice is currently offered for sale on Autotrader, and it still has the red and blue police lights on top. It also has a push bar with another set of lights, along with an alley light at the base of the A-pillar. It’s really a ready-to-go police vehicle.
And it’s the same story on the inside. Inside the Caprice, you have the full police officer work station, including the platform to mount a computer. There are also radio hookups and other auxiliary items in front — plus the vinyl rear seat area for transporting prisoners. There’s no partition between the front and rear in this Caprice, though.
If you’re interested, this Caprice is located at a dealership called Linwood in Paducah, Kentucky. It’s finished in silver with a black interior, and it’s traveled around 43,000 miles from new, which is a relatively short life for a former police car. The ad notes, correctly, that it’s "fitted with all the extras to get it ready for pursuit." Find a Chevrolet Caprice for sale
