Another day, another crazy Autotrader Find from Florida. This is one of my favorites so far: a 1988 Chevy Pickup with a hood that folds forward and a bed that inexplicably lifts something like 10 feet into the air. Is this Peak Florida Car?

Offered by a private seller in Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida, this 1988 Chevy truck is primarily notable for graphics on the side depicting the Tasmanian Devil, the Looney Tunes character. It also includes -- I am totally serious about this -- a neon-colored graphic in back that says "RAZZ MY TAZZ." This same phrase is printed on a bug deflector in front. I have no idea what this means, and I strongly suspect the owner doesn't, either.

Of course, these are the truck's most notable characteristics in its regular, everyday form. But it gets even more notable when you, uh, extend it, because the bed lifts off the frame by about 10 feet, and the hood comes forward with the bumper instead of up like a normal hood. Ladies and gentlemen, you are witnessing the ultimate Florida pickup truck right here: unusual phrases, cartoon character graphics, bizarre and expensive modifications -- and of course, it's from the 1980s. Did I mention it's lifted with big tires? Of course it is.

To be completely fair to Florida, I should note that the truck is shown with Michigan license plates. I should also note that the build, as described in the listing, seems fairly professional -- a fact that's confirmed by all the listing's photos, which show a clean frame and attention to detail. Unfortunately, the truck's price will probably turn off many potential buyers: It's offered for $39,900. Apparently that's the going rate to Razz My Tazz.
