Although Autotrader isn’t generally known as a marketplace for race cars, here are two for sale in one listing. Better yet, they aren’t just race cars: they are Saab 9-3 sedans that have been converted, albeit quite professionally, into race cars. If you were looking to get into Saab racing, well, here’s your chance.
The basic gist is this: there’s a white one and a black one, and both have been converted into race cars. The 2005 model is the white one, and the listing says it was successfully raced in the Canadian Touring Car Championship. The black one is a 2008 model, which the listing says never raced. However, the listing notes, both cars were professionally built with factory Saab sponsorship — meaning these aren’t just race cars somebody built in a backyard.
That’s reflected in the quality of the construction, as both of these vehicles feature intense roll cages, revised suspension setups, stripped-out interiors and more. The ad notes that the "package" of cars also includes a separate acid-dipped body, two fresh 2.0-liter Ecotec racing engines and many other spares and parts that will allow you to go Saab racing on your own.
If you’re interested, the two Saab race cars are listed for sale by Swedish Motors in the small town of Marietta, Pennsylvania, near the state capital of Harrisburg — and they’re offered as a pair with all the spares for $29,500.
