For those of you who were disappointed that you were passed up for a McLaren P1 when they first came out, here's your chance to get a new one. There are several McLaren P1 models for sale on Autotrader, but this is the most pristine: a bright yellow one with only 108 original miles, and factory plastic still applied throughout the interior.

To start, we must first delve into the Carfax report, which may address some questions about precisely how this P1 was never driven. Unfortunately, it seems to inspire more questions than answers, as it doesn't even show that this car was ever titled. And, indeed, the listing notes that the car is still "under MCO," which is a car industry term that means the car is still listed on the manufacturer's certificate of origin -- AKA, it's never been titled. This is literally a new McLaren P1.

And, indeed, it looks it. If you go through the photos, you'll note that in many cases, the original plastic covering various interior surfaces -- the carbon fiber door sill plates, the interior McLaren badges -- is still applied, meaning this car is as factory fresh as humanly possible. The fact that it's never been titled also means it still has the full balance of McLaren's factory warranty, meaning the warranty won't actually start until the dealership marks it as a sold unit -- which it hasn't done yet.

Of course, none of this is cheap. This car is currently on sale at McLaren Newport Beach, where it's likely been ever since it got off the ship bound for North America, and the asking price is $3 million -- more than double the original window sticker price, but not at all out of line with the current market trends. A hefty price to pay, but there aren't exactly many others like it.
