You won’t find many PT Cruisers like this one. Listed for sale here is a 2001 Chrysler PT Cruiser that’s quite unique in its own right: It has an enlarged grille, a purple-flame paint job, a lowered suspension, chromed wheels and an eye-catching body kit. It’s unique, to say the least. And then there’s the trailer.
Yes, that’s right … the trailer. This PT Cruiser has not just a trailer but a matching trailer, shaped like a PT Cruiser, with the same flame paint job as the PT Cruiser pulling it. The top half of the trailer looks just like a PT Cruiser; the bottom half is different, as the trailer has just two wheels, not four. But seeing the two together is absolutely hilarious, as the two appear to be "normal-size" and "fun-size."
Naturally, there’s a reason behind this oddity, and that reason is SEMA — the Specialty Equipment Marketing Association, whose annual show in Las Vegas attracts all sorts of unusual modified cars. This is certainly one of the most unusual, however, given the level of detail that went into it. It’s also worth noting the PT Cruiser — the big one, I mean — has just 4,300 miles on it, likely making it one of the lowest-mileage PT Cruisers around.
This PT is currently listed for sale by Griffin’s Hub Chrysler Jeep Dodge Ram in Milwaukee, which doesn’t have a price listed — likely because it’s quite high, given the PT’s unique situation. The seller notes the PT "set the standard for all custom PT Cruisers to follow," and further remarks that the original build cost $145,000 and took two years. But if you want the ultimate PT Cruiser, this is the one you want. Find a Chrysler PT Cruiser for sale
