If you want to get the finest Jeep Grand Wagoneer on Autotrader, it's right here. It's a 1990 model, from the second-to-last year -- meaning peak options and features. It's finished in white, which is generally agreed to be the Grand Wagoneer's best color. It's been owned by one family since new, and in California, which is good for cars. It has low miles. The catch? It's offered for $54,900.

That's right: This 1990 Jeep Grand Wagoneer is gorgeous, and pristine, and basically everything you could possibly want in a Grand Wagoneer -- and for that, you'll need to pay $54,900. Amazingly, this price isn't even very far out of line with other top-dollar Grand Wagoneer models on Autotrader. Other nice ones are in the high thirties and into the low- to mid-$40,000 range.

Theory: The Porsche 911 bubble is bursting, and the Jeep Grand Wagoneer bubble is taking its place.

Admittedly, however, this is probably the nicest original Grand Wagoneer you'll ever see. Not only is it a one-family-owned example from Santa Maria, California, near Santa Barbara, but it has everything you could possibly want in a Grand Wagoneer -- including just 42,500 miles on the odometer. It also appears to be in absolutely perfect shape; so perfect that it's hard to imagine world-renowned Grand Wagoneer restorers Wagonmaster improving this one in any way.

Despite all these benefits, it's truly hard to imagine forking over $55,000 for a 27-year-old Jeep with a carbureted engine -- and I suspect many people will feel the same way. But there's no doubt the Grand Wagoneer market is on the rise, as I covered back in November. Someday, we might all be talking about how we remember when you could've bought a pristine Grand Wagoneer for only $55,000.
