Like basically anything Porsche-related, the Mercedes-Benz 500E has seen a huge rise in its values in recent years, as collectors have started to especially appreciate and enjoy Porsche models. The 500E may not say Porsche on it, but it had the good fortune of being built by Porsche in Stuttgart — and that, to enthusiasts, is enough to give it the stamp of approval.
This particular 500E is an example of that rise in value — and it’s one of the nicest ones I’ve seen in quite a while. Finished in 2-tone silver and gray with a gray interior, this 500E has traveled just 50,600 miles from new — and it’s a gorgeous car in fantastic shape. Most 500E models were purchased to drive, and, thus driven quite a bit, but the owner of this one had the foresight to preserve it.
According to the Carfax report, this 500E is effectively a one-owner model, as it was sold new in Miami in September 1992 and owned by the same person until early 2018. The second owner added only a handful of miles, and now it’s listed for sale to someone who wants what’s surely one of the nicest 500E models that’s reached the market in recent memory.
Right now, this 500E is offered by Motorcars by Bill Nuccio in the Chicago area, and it’s listed for $64,900 — reflective of the rise in values for these, though it’s likely values will continue to increase along with Porsche values. Find a Mercedes-Benz 500E for sale
