If you’re a BMW enthusiast, you probably look back on the "E46" era of the BMW 3 Series with some nostalgia, as those models — sold from 1999 to 2005 — are often considered among BMW’s best, with relatively compact sizing and a fun driving experience that’s largely free of light steering and technology nannies.
However, finding a nice E46 BMW 3 Series is a challenge, especially if you’re not looking for an M3, as it seems those were the only ones that were really preserved. Even then, E46 M3 models in nice shape can run big money. But what if you’re just looking for a regular 3 Series?
Here’s a true rarity: a 1999 BMW 328i that’s in absolutely fantastic condition. This is a one-owner example of the car and it’s traveled just 34,000 miles from new. Unfortunately for enthusiasts, this one has an automatic transmission but when it comes to nice examples of older BMW models, you have to take what you can get.
In this case, what you get is a car that truly looks showroom fresh. Finished in green with a beige interior, this car looks like it’s barely been driven — and, indeed, that’s because it has. Just 34,000 miles in 20 years makes this the lowest-mileage non-M3 on the market from this era and it’s a good way to get into a "new" BMW from the old days.
