Although the Dodge Ramcharger hasn’t gained in popularity like many other old SUVs — think Ford Bronco, Land Rover Defender, Toyota Land Cruiser, Jeep Grand Wagoneer — old Ramcharger models are still cool in the same vein as those higher-value models. If you’re into the relatively subtle coolness of the Ramcharger compared to more popular alternatives, here’s one of the nicest ones I’ve seen in ages.
Offered by Garage Kept Motors in Grand Rapids, Michigan, which has a great selection of older SUVs in good shape, this Ramcharger is shockingly pristine. It’s traveled 95,000 miles, but it’s really well-kept — far better than most other Ramcharger models, which were largely used up for off-roading or other heavy-duty usage, and not preserved. But this one stayed nice, and it’s one of the cleanest Ramcharger models I’ve seen in decades.
The Carfax report shows that it was sold new in Texas, and it’s a 1993 model, which in itself is impressive, as the Ramcharger was sold only through 1994, and sales had slowed to a trickle by the end. It looks like it may have stayed with one owner until 2011, at which point it bounced around to Oklahoma, then Wisconsin, then Illinois, before landing at Garage Kept Motors.
Now, this Ramcharger is offered for sale in red with a beige interior, and it’s listed for $29,990 — big money for a Ramcharger, but not too expensive when you compare it against other popular old-school SUVs, especially in this excellent condition.
