Here is an impressively nice time capsule. This is a 1987 Dodge B250 van, except it isn’t just any old van. It’s a full conversion van, with a sink, a stove, a table, a microwave and a portable toilet, basically anything you could want on the road. Better yet, it appears to be largely untouched for the last 30 years.
This van is offered by Frankman Motor Company in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, which has the coolest inventory of pristine 1980s and 1990s cars, so it’s no surprise they have this B250, which looks like it was sold new and then mothballed. The truth is that it was driven quite a bit, with the odometer currently showing just under 90,000 miles, but it must’ve been well kept because everything appears to be original and surprisingly clean.
And I mean everything. This van is like stepping into a 1980s home because it has many of the same amenities, including a stove, a sink, old-school wood paneling, as well as brown cloth and carpeting. It’s sort of like a house that hasn’t been updated in 30 years.
While that would be a drawback for a home, it’s surprisingly cool for this van, or at least that’s what I think. According to the Carfax report, this van spent its life in Minnesota, and while that would normally raise red flags for rust, it was probably a summertime adventure vehicle for a weekend getaway or a family trip. I don’t know much about these 1980s Dodge vans, but this one apparently uses a 5.2-liter V8 and boasts a 3-speed automatic transmission, and it’s ready to bring a retro look to your next road trip. Frankman Motor Company has it listed for $15,350.
