The current BMW 3 Series has been on the market, more or less unchanged, since 2012. That means a new 3 Series will likely make its debut soon and new renderings from TopSpeed preview what that next-generation 3 Series model might look like.
The latest rendering previews the potential 3 Series from the front, showing off a traditional BMW look that has matured with more modern lines as well as revised headlights, and more closely resemble the units on the latest BMW 7 Series. TopSpeed’s rendering also appears to show the new 3 Series as longer and wider than the current model — a likely scenario, considering the popular BMW’s growth in size over the years.
As for when a new BMW 3 Series will debut, the automaker hasn’t made any promises but given the brand’s typical product life cycles, we expect to see the next model sometime in 2017, with sales starting late in the year or early in 2018. Of course, we also expect the model will offer sedan, wagon and hatchback GT variants, with a 4 Series coupe and convertible following closely behind.
