- Corvette buyers can now get performance driving school discount
- Discount offers $1,500 off at Ron Fellows Performance Driving School
- School teaches drivers ins and outs of high-performance track driving
Interested in an all-new Chevrolet Corvette? If so, Chevrolet is giving you one more reason to sign the papers. Drivers who buy an all-new Chevrolet Corvette will now get a $1,500 discount at the brand’s Ron Fellows Performance Driving School, located at the Spring Mountain Motorsports Ranch outside Las Vegas.
Chevrolet recently announced the discount, noting that the offer drops pricing for the 2-day school from $2,500 to a more affordable $1,000. That means Corvette owners will now have another reason to participate in the driving school, where they can test the all-new Corvette’s limits on the racetrack.
"We designed the Corvette Stingray to make its owners better drivers," said Tim Mahoney, Chevrolet’s global chief marketing officer. "Through the Ron Fellows Performance Driving School, they’ll learn to make the most of its technologies and delve deeper into the Corvette’s capabilities."
Corvette owners who might be concerned about driving their own Corvette on the track need not worry, as the Ron Fellows Performance Driving School boasts a fleet of Corvette Stingrays meant for track driving and instructional purposes. Decked out with a Ron Fellows insignia, each Corvette is used to teach drivers the ins and outs of Spring Mountain’s course. Participants also learn general performance driving tips and get a better understanding of how to control their vehicles at the limit.
According to Chevrolet, the $1,500 discount is valid for one year from the purchase of a new Corvette Stingray. The brand also notes that the discount is only available to the original owner and that the deal only applies to one attendee per vehicle.
That sounds fair to us, considering the highly useful and valuable hands-on instruction given by drivers at the Ron Fellows School. The program boasts three levels of instruction on a 2.2-mile road course with considerable elevation changes, sharp corners and high-speed straightaways.
What it means to you: As if there weren’t enough reasons to buy the latest Chevrolet Corvette, a discount to Chevrolet’s Ron Fellows Performance Driving School is icing on the cake.
