Hoping to do some online car perusing or shopping over the long weekend? You can show your admiration for the American worker (and support veterans) this Labor Day by participating in Autotrader’s Red, White & Blue initiative.
It’s super simple: From now through September 30, 2017, for every red, white or blue vehicle that’s ‘saved’ on the website, Autotrader will donate $1 (up to $25,000) to The Mission Continues, a non-profit organization that empowers U.S. military veterans to find purpose at home through community impact. The organization helps veterans build new skills and networks that help them successfully reintegrate to life after the military while making long-term, sustainable transformations in communities and inspiring future generations to serve.
The Mission Continues deploys veteran volunteers alongside non-profit partners in cities nationwide to tackle such challenging issues as improving community education resources, eliminating food deserts and mentoring at-risk youth.
Donating Made Easy
Shoppers can register through the “My Autotrader” personalized shopping feature, which ensures the donation and also keeps an eye on which car you’ve saved. It will then send email or text alerts with important updates like if a price has dropped, or if there are new incentives offered like cash back rebates, zero percent financing and more.
“We’re thrilled to partner with Autotrader, a brand that believes in our veterans’ continued service in their communities here at home and encourages employees and customers to join us in our efforts,” said Meredith Darche, director of development for The Mission Continues. The non-profit believes the partnership will help veterans build camaraderie and give back in their own communities.
Take a break from the BBQs and catching up with neighbors and spend a little time giving back this Labor Day. Head over to Autotrader.com for more information on the Red, White & Blue initiative.
