Here Are the Coolest Off-Roader SUVs for Sale on Autotrader

If you’re interested in getting a cool off-roading SUV, you might be surprised by just what you can find on Autotrader. I’ve rounded up five interesting off-roaders, all of which are currently listed for sale on Autotrader — and all of which are sure to make a bit of a splash, should you pull up in one on your cul-de-sac or in your driveway.

1987 Chevrolet Blazer

1987 Chevrolet Blazer – $38,900

Although the other SUVs on this list are a lot newer than this one, this 1987 Chevy Blazer is proof that there are some off-roader enthusiasts out there lifting the more "classic" SUVs. This particular Blazer features a lift and some serious tires, along with other off-roader upgrades like power side steps, an improved interior, upgraded axles and more. This Blazer is offered by Restore a Muscle Car in Lincoln, Nebraska, with just under 97,000 miles for $38,900. Find a Chevrolet Blazer for sale

1996 Chevy Tahoe 2-Door

1996 Chevy Tahoe 2-Door – $12,995

This 1996 Chevy Tahoe continues the theme from the Blazer above in terms of lifting an older SUV. In this case, it’s the Tahoe, and specifically the rarer 2-door model. This Tahoe has been lifted far more than the vast majority of SUVs, and it’s currently showing just 51,600 miles, which is unusually low for a vehicle like this. It’s offered by A-1 Auto Sales in Honolulu with an asking price of $12,995 — big money for a ’90s Tahoe, but likely reasonable for some considering the modifications to this SUV. Find a Chevrolet Tahoe for sale

2000 Ford Excursion

2000 Ford Excursion – $69,988

The Ford Excursion is a full-size SUV that offered heavy-duty capabilities, over and beyond what you’d get from a standard Chevy Suburban — its chief rival when it came out. This particular Excursion takes things many steps further, with an amazing lift and monster truck tires — something you’ll rarely see on any lifted SUV, but particularly one as large and as heavy as an Excursion. This one is equipped to take the whole family deep off road — and it’s offered by Carco Sales and Finance in the San Diego area for $69,988. Find a Ford Excusrion for sale

2008 Hummer H2

2008 Hummer H2 – $91,000

Although the Hummer H2 is more capable than most people think, it’s still not a common choice for an off-roader build. But this particular H2 has been built for some serious off-roading, with a lift kit and an impressive list of additional modifications that includes a new front bumper with a steel cage over the engine cover, plus power side steps, a 10,000-lb winch, and an enormous amount more. This H2 has also traveled just 23,000 miles, and it’s listed for top dollar as you might expect given its condition: it’s offered by a private seller in Tooele, Utah, west of Salt Lake City, for $91,000. Find a Hummer H2 for sale

2012 Jeep Wrangler Pickup Truck

2012 Jeep Wrangler Pickup Truck – $42,995

Although Jeep is now officially offering a pickup truck, it didn’t always — and this particular Jeep truck hails from a time before the automaker started offering a Wrangler with a bed. This particular Wrangler has been converted to a truck, and it touts a single cab — something the new Jeep Gladiator pickup doesn’t offer. This particular converted Wrangler is listed with 15,000 miles by AutoPark Dallas in the Dallas area, and it’s available for $42,995. Find a  Jeep Wrangler for sale
