I recently had the chance to drive a Lexus LFA, which is an incredible supercar that sounds better than anything you’ve ever heard in your entire human existence. That story will go up shortly — but before it does, I decided to take a quick look at the most unusual Lexus models currently listed for sale on Autotrader. Lexus isn’t known for making "unusual" cars, of course, so it took a little effort to round up the odd Lexuses — but here they are, in all their strange luxurious glory. Enjoy!
Don’t worry — it’s just a wrap. Nonetheless, this brand-new 2017 Lexus GS F is certainly a head turner, with its original black paint covered by this neon green wrap that makes it stand out more than just about any other Lexus. Available for sale at Nalley Lexus Roswell in the Atlanta area, the green wrap isn’t the only modification to this GS F: It also includes unique 21-in alloy wheels, a carbon fiber body kit, and extra-tinted windows. Undoubtedly one of the most eye-catching new Lexus models on sale today, this one is listed for $107,094 — over MSRP, due to the modifications. Find a 2017 Lexus GS F for sale
Here’s a cool older Lexus: an original IS 300 with a manual transmission. The first-generation IS, which was offered from 2001 to 2005, is already getting surprisingly rare — but manual versions are even rarer, as very few IS 300 models were ever sold with a stick shift. This example has covered 95,550 miles, and it’s on sale at Norcross Motorsports in the Atlanta area for $10,999. It’s one of a mere handful of manual IS 300 models currently listed on Autotrader, meaning it’s slim pickings for anyone interested in an IS with three pedals. Find a 2002 Lexus IS 300 for sale
The LFA is a truly striking vehicle — and it’s especially impressive when finished in bright blue, as this one is. Offered for sale by American Wheel and Tire in Houston, this 2012 LFA is listed for a whopping $394,994 — big money for any car, and especially notable for a Lexus. But, of course, the LFA is a truly special car, boasting one of the best engine notes in the business — and this one has covered just 2,302 miles, ensuring that it’s a well-kept example that likely hasn’t been thrashed like some exotic cars. This LX 470 is the highest mileage Lexus currently listed on Autotrader. While its 326,000 miles is a phenomenal figure — especially considering that it’s just 17 years old, and especially considering how much fuel it’s used over those 17 years — car enthusiasts who appreciate the Toyota Land Cruiser won’t be surprised by this LX’s mileage number. It is, after all, a Land Cruiser underneath, and this particular generation — the "100 series" — is known for covering massive miles without major issues. This LX 470 is offered by a private seller in Houston for $4,900. Find a 1999 Lexus LX 470 for sale
Lexus has recently started offering a bright orange color — dubbed "Molten Pearl" — on sporty models like the GS and RC. But the color has apparently also found its way into the brand’s crossover line, as there are a couple of bright orange NX 200t SUVs currently listed for sale on Autotrader. This particular example is a new 2017 version listed at Larry Miller Lexus in the Salt Lake City area, and it’s offered for $45,294. This is a love-it-or-hate-it color, and it’ll undoubtedly find at least a few satisfied buyers who want to stand out from the mainstream crossover norm. Find a 2017 Lexus NX 200t for sale
And you thought the stick-shift IS 300 shown above was an unusual Lexus. This 1996 SC 300 is the only manual-transmission SC 300 currently listed on Autotrader, and it’s offered for $10,980 by Fall Creek Motors in the Houston area. These were tremendously uncommon, and they’ve become even rarer with time — and with modifications, as many stick-shift SC 300 models have been highly modified due to their tunable straight-six engine and their rear-wheel drive configuration. This one remains highly original, however, featuring polished factory wheels, a well-kept interior, and just 117,000 miles since new. Find a 1996 Lexus SC 300 for sale
If you happen to be looking for an ultra-well-kept Lexus SC 430, then you’ll find what you’re searching for at Lexus of Richmond in Richmond, Virginia. This 2002 SC 430 has traveled just 14,876 miles from new, averaging less than 1,000 miles per year for the last 15 years. Finished in "White Gold Crystal" with a handsome "Saddle Tan" interior, this SC 430 is about as factory-fresh as you’re likely to find one of these things. Not surprisingly, the Carfax report lists this as a one-owner example, and notes an extensive service history, despite the low miles. Find a 2002 Lexus SC 430 for sale
