Later today, I'm going to show you one of the best vehicles Lincoln has ever produced -- and certainly the best vehicle they've produced during my lifetime. But before that, I've decided to take a little trip down Lincoln memory lane by checking out the nicest older Lincoln models currently listed for sale on Autotrader. Not surprisingly, it isn't difficult to find nice, well-kept older Lincoln models on Autotrader, given their usual buyer -- but these stand out even among the others.

1986 Lincoln Limo

1986 Lincoln Limo - 4,100 Miles

Although there are a surprisingly high number of used Lincoln limousine models currently listed for sale on Autotrader, this is probably the most interesting. It's a pristine 1986 Town Car limousine, and the ad claims it's traveled just 4,100 miles since new. Although 1990s and 2000s limos are certainly interesting, this 1980s model is a true time capsule -- with the interior (and the styling) to go with it. It's offered for $30,000 by a private seller in Miami.

1990 Lincoln Mark VII

1990 Lincoln Mark VII - 52,000 Miles

The Lincoln Mark VII is one of the more interesting recent Lincoln models, featuring sporty styling and a relatively high-tech interior. Many Mark VII models were preserved by collectors who thought they may be worth something one day, and this example appears to be no exception; it's a 1990 Mark VII LSC with just 52,000 miles and a well-kept interior and exterior. It's offered for just $13,999 by CDI Car Sales in Victor, New York, and the Carfax report seems to show only one long-term owner in nearby Auburn, New York.

1999 Lincoln Navigator

1999 Lincoln Navigator - 87,000 Miles

Although this Navigator is "high mileage" compared to the rest of the cars on this list, it's here for one major reason: It's totally original. While many first-generation Navigator models were modified or damaged, this one still appears pristine, wearing the factory wheels and boasting a well-preserved interior. As this is one of the original luxury SUVs, it's interesting to see it in this state -- and interesting to see what once passed for high-end luxury. The Carfax report for this Navigator shows two owners, both in Texas, and it's offered for just $6,988 by Auto Paradise in the Dallas suburb of Arlington.

1982 Lincoln Town Car

1982 Lincoln Town Car - 4,100 Miles

Here's a second Lincoln that's traveled just 4,100 miles since new. It's a 1982 Town Car, and it's offered by a private seller in Robstown, Texas, near Corpus Christi. Although the seller hasn't posted the VIN so I can run a Carfax report, the ad seems to verify that the mileage isn't a typo, saying the seller "found this car in a garage where it had been covered for 20 years," before adding that it still "runs like new" and "still smells new." The interior seems well-preserved, and this 1982 Town Car is offered for $14,000.

2000 Lincoln Town Car

2000 Lincoln Town Car - 4,100 Miles

Continuing on the bizarrely coincidental 4,100-mile Lincoln array, this 2000 Town Car has traveled just 4,100 miles since it was purchased new on July 28, 2000 -- and 3,500 of those miles had been added by 2006. Indeed, few used Lincoln models are this well preserved (except for the 1982 Town Car directly above it), and this pristine, one-owner example is offered for $18,000 by a private seller in Reading, Pennsylvania.
